Contemporary dance is sensational, stunning, energetic, and passionate and the ultimate dance style for any performer who wants to engage their emotions through their dance work which is fantastic for your mental health. The contemporary dance technique focuses on developing technical ability which makes any dancer stand out from the crowd and it is fantastic to learn for the sheer enjoyment factor but it is also highly essential for any dancer wishing to pursue a career in performing arts as it is becoming one of the key styles which is recognised in all higher education and in the industry today.

Classes are delivered in a unique method with each class becoming a dance company where dance pieces are created ready for performance within our large scale youth company productions and showcases where the dance work is performed in full costume, using props and performance elements such as lighting added to give amazing performances, including festival and outdoor street theatre.
Becoming a contemporary dancer will develop physical dance technique, fitness, co-ordination, strength, expression, musicality, confidence and interpretive skills learning techniques of Martha Graham and Merce Cunningham whilst engaging your mind to improve your mental health and emotional wellbeing.
